Reengineering of an Incubator Base

The studio was contacted by a company that needed to cut-down production costs for the steel base for one of their products: an incubator for babies. This piece, in addition to handling the same aesthetic language as the original, should bear certain functional features such as support forces determined by international standards on medical security. So in addition to the aesthetic redesign, a finite element analysis was done, to ensure that the product would meet the requirements set in the standards.
